Yvette is excited to make her debut at the Geffen Playhouse and to work with Colman Domingo. She recently played the roles of Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone in A Night With Janis Joplin at 5th Avenue Theatre and Pasadena Playhouse. Yvette sold out shows of a reprise performance of Ella The Musical, playing the legendary First Lady of Song, Ella Fitzgerald. Other credits include: Dreamgirls (Broadway and International Tour), Play On! (Broadway and Pasadena, Ovation Award), Once on This Island, Ain’t Misbehavin’, St. Louis Woman, Into the Woods and Sisterella at Pasadena Playhouse, for which she won an NAACP Theatre Award. She has toured and sung with some of the industry’s elite including Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, David Foster and Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds. Yvette can be seen in the feature films Middle of Nowhere and Dreamgirls. Education: Berklee College of Music.
