Phyllis
Murphy

Phyllis Murphy was born in Georgia and raised in Tennessee. She studied Speech and Theater at Middle Tennessee State University and Acting at Illinois State University. She has performed as an actor Off Broadway and has written two plays with Jeanne Michels (Letters from Bernice and The Queen of Bingo). Her television writing credits with Jean Gennis include Profiler, The Journey of Allen Strange and L.A. Law. She has also performed as a band singer and puppeteer. Her favorite things are cats and laughing.
