Joy Donze is an award-winning actor/director based in Brooklyn. Her solo show 13 and Not Pregnant has performed in New York, Chicago, and Edinburgh Festival Fringe where it received 5 star reviews and was awarded “Best Comedy” at the New York United Solo Theatre Festival. As an actor Joy has developed new narratives with 59E59 Theaters, New York Theatre Workshop, Rattlestick Theater, Cherry Lane Theatre, Urban Stages, New Jersey Repertory Company, Dixon Place, and more. Recent film credits include: Last Call for Istanbul (Netflix), Art of Diversion (Hulu), and The Institute (Amazon Prime). Recent theater: Funny, Like An Abortion (Mile Square Theatre), According to the Chorus and Shedding Load (59E59 Theaters), Romantic Trapezoid (Theatre Row), Lily (New Jersey Repertory Company), An Iliad and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Pendragon Theatre).
