Andrew Russell is a writer and director grateful to spend his life gathering in the dark with strangers to tell stories that help us feel less alone. As a director, he has staged new work at theaters across the country and in New York City, and is especially proud of his years directing all three plays in Sara Porkalob’s The Dragon Cycle. As a writer, he creates intimate, character-driven stories about loneliness, shame, and second chances, including My Maria, about two sixty-year-olds who fall in love through country line dancing and, in the shocking process, learn to love themselves again. @heyheyandyk
