Amanda Rose Villarreal is an intimacy choreographer and immersive artist committed to unleashing artists’ agency in collaborative processes. Associate Faculty with Theatrical Intimacy Education and Assistant Professor at Cal State Fullerton, Amanda Rose earned their Ph.D. in Theatre and Performance Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder, where they researched and developed consent-based practices for immersive and gamified performance. Their artistic work and publications center anti-oppressive practices rooted in queer and feminist performance and research methodologies. Recent credits: Pasadena Playhouse (Uncle Vanya, Sanctuary City, A Little Night Music), Geffen Playhouse (The Inheritance: Part 1 & Part 2, Every Brilliant Thing); Sinking Ship Productions (Project Ascension, Monstrosity, The Job Opportunity).
