LCC Theatre Company

Since its inception in 1995, Lapu, the Coyote that Cares Theatre Company (LCC Theatre) has maintained its commitment to providing students with a space to create their own works. As an Asian American panethnic theatre and film company at UCLA, our purpose has and always will be to be a voice for the voiceless by telling stories through our writing, film, photography, music, drama, dance, and other forms of performing arts. We are here to give Asian American communities a chance to represent themselves by ensuring that their artistic productions can come to life.

From its simple origin as a small writing group started by Randall Park, Derek Mateo, and David Lee, LCC has grown to become the largest Asian American college theater and film group in the country, boasting a cast of over forty and performing for hundreds of audience members every year. Based at UCLA, LCC strives to uphold its resolution to promote and mature culturally diverse talents through the arts.
