All the jazz greats, all the sappy lounge singers, all the fresh-faced pop starlets — they’ve all chosen tunes from Berlin’s great American songbook and tried to make them their own. In fact, just yesterday, Willie Nelson and Sister Bobbie released December Day: Willie’s Stash Vol. 1, which includes several Berlin covers (“What’ll I Do,” “Always”).
