Joy DeMichelle is a multi-hyphenate artist, who specializes in sensual connection and emotionally heightened storytelling. Joy’s most recent intimacy direction includes: Joe Turner’s Come and Gone (A Noise Within); Bacon (Rogue Machine Theatre); Jelly’s Last Jam (Pasadena Playhouse); Choir Boy (Dezart Performs); Hedda Gabler, The Winter’s Tale(Bedlam); Apartment Living (Skylight Theatre Company); and TJ Loves Sally 4 Ever (Theatre Horizon). Film/Television: Wild Rose (ALLBLK); We’re Not Married? (Independent). University: Numerous student productions and Guest Lecturer at USC and CSULB. As an actress, this year Joy has appeared on Matlock, Grey’s Anatomy; Macbeth at A Noise Within and as “Fannie Lou Hamer” at the Greenway Court Theatre in Greenwood 1964.
