Mission: Geffen Playhouse is a non-profit, professional theater dedicated to enriching the cultural life of Los Angeles through plays and educational programs that inform, entertain and inspire.

Position Summary

Front of House Associates are the face of the theatre during performances and events. This is a customer service focused position. Must have evening and weekend availability. Hiring for a variety of roles.

Experience & Qualifications

Ideal candidates will be friendly, articulate, and approachable and attuned to patron needs.
Responsible, self-motivated, and able to work in crowds and high-stress situations.
Positive attitude with the desire and ability to be a team player.
Respond to a wide range of customer services issues with sensitivity and care.
Prior experience working Front of House in a live theatre setting as well as events is preferred but not required.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and need to be able to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to work a flexible schedule; and be able to submit shift availability for at least 3 shifts per week (with at least one of those falling on a Saturday or Sunday).
Must love theatre as this position involves being in the theatre during performances nightly.
Some roles may include: Usher, Concessions, Guests Services. Bartending experience is a plus for concessions roles.
